Product Description Andy is regarded as one of the world's preeminent blackjack players. His notoriety is largely tied to his role as a player and manager of the infamous M.I.T. Blackjack Team as chronicled in the Ben Mezrich's book Bringing Down the House. Andy won so much money counting cards that he's now listed on the "Griffin List" of known card counters and no longer allowed by any casino to employ the tactics described in his new DVD Beating Blackjack with Andy Bloch. Although he's rarely seen playing blackjack his celebrity in conjunction with the M.I.T. Blackjack team has been featured in the documentary "The Hot Shoe"(2003) Fox's reality series "Casino" (2004) the BBC Horizon show "Making Millions the Easy Way" (2005) and GSN's recent expose on the team in their series "Anything to Win" (2006). Only Andy knows how much he won playing blackjack. Since becoming a professional poker player in 2002 Andy has excelled on the tournament circuit. He has eight WPT finishes in the money and top finishes in many other tournaments. In 2005 he won the $10000 buy-in Ultimate Poker Challenge II championship event and won his first WSOP circuit title at the Rio. Andy is truly unique - he earned an engineering degree from M.I.T and a law degree from the Harvard Law School yet he makes his living as a professional blackjack and poker player. He has passed the bar exam and has practiced law exactly once. He won the 2003 Roshambo (rock paper scissors) World Championship. Currently he continues to draft briefs play the stock market and travel around the world from tournament to tournament. Very helpful video May 12, 2008 Exceeded my expectations, this is a good video step by step. It provides enough information that all you need to do is practice...
A quick crash course on counting. October 17, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well I expected much more from this DVD then I got but it was still worth watching. Did I learn anything? No, not really but it is good for any aspiring counter to watch. The DVD extra's don't work and it is quite short. Never the less it's exactly as my title suggests. A good quick crash course on card counting. Don't expect to watch this DVD and be on the M.I.T. team level of play but it will help you understand theory of the system they use.
Good basic primer for those upgrading bj skills September 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very good source for those of you wanting to take their blackjack skills to the next level. If you typically plop yourself down at a table and play only by feel, you can make your money last longer and even win some if you adhere to the basic rules that Andy tells you. The fake casino scenes are a bit hokey but the simulated table play is realistic and gives you a good idea of what to expect. That being said, viewing the DVD is one thing; listening, learning, and practice practice practice are absolutely necessary to improve your skills. Good luck!
Interesting enough March 19, 2007 interesting video. would recommend it if you want to learn basic card counting and more.

The Expert Insight videos are all of the highest quality and this one is no exception. I just wish I could go back to when I had time (e.g college) and have this DVD with my buddies....
A must have for anyone who is serious about playing blackjack.
